Popular Tourist Ship Capsizes: 34 Dead
A tragic accident occurred on Saturday in the popular Ha Long Bay in Vietnam. According to media reports, a tourist ship capsized, claiming at least 34 lives.
More than 20 additional people are reported missing, as stated by Vietnamese state media. There were a total of 53 individuals on board the ship "Wonder Sea." Rescue teams managed to save 11 people and recovered 34 bodies, according to the news portal "VNExpress." The remaining passengers are still unaccounted for.
Earlier reports indicated at least 18 dead and 12 individuals rescued from the water. The boat, which had 48 passengers and five crew members, capsized due to sudden heavy rain, reported the portal "Dan Tri." According to "VNExpress," most of the passengers were families from the capital, Hanoi, including more than 20 children.
