Joe Biden’s Staff’s Stunning Revelations About His Cognitive Decline
As outgoing President Joe Biden prepares to leave the White House, his staff has begun commenting on the apparent decline of the 82-year-old president in his final days in office.
Biden, the oldest president in U.S. history, was forced to withdraw his reelection bid after a June 2024 debate in which he appeared frail and his mental capacity was questioned.
More and more people are speaking out about how much power the president wielded.
Mike Johnson, who will continue as House Speaker in a Trump 2.0 administration, said Biden surprised him during a session last January by not implementing an order he had signed months earlier.
The order, announced Jan. 26, suspended a pending liquefied natural gas export permit.
In an interview with The Free Press, Johnson said he asked Biden, “Sir, why did you stop LNG exports to Europe? Liquefied natural gas is in great demand by our allies. Why did you do that?”
He said the Democratic president had no idea what he had signed.
“I walked out of that meeting with fear and disgust because I thought, ‘We have a serious problem — who’s running this country?’ Like, I don’t know who put the paper in front of him, he didn’t know.”
Johnson’s interview followed a New York Times article in which several Biden supporters, including advisers and fellow lawmakers, revealed how they planned to manage his erratic behavior.
According to the report, Biden’s aides would change his schedule depending on his mood and try to avoid giving him negative information.
When he headed to the South Lawn to board the presidential helicopter, he was usually accompanied by staff to avoid appearing sick on camera.
They even shortened the stairs so Biden wouldn't trip when boarding Air Force One.
