Mumbai Metro-3 Running, But Not Sure How To Travel From Dahisar to BKC? Here’s A 3-Step Guide On Route & Fares

Reducing the travel woes of Mumbaiites, the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) to Aarey Stretch of Metro-3 – the aqua line – was thrown open to public on Monday. This means, an officegoer can travel from Dahisar to Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) using the Metro trains.

Many, however, are still unsure of how, considering the names of locations do not match that of railway stations or areas on road they pass through.
Don’t fret! Here’s your guide on how to travel the distance using Mumbai Metro.
METRO-7
It is part of the elevated 16.5-km red line from Andheri (E) to Dahisar (E) which runs along the Western Express Highway from Dahisar to Gundavali.
Stations: Dahisar East, Ovaripada, National Park, Devipada, Magathane, Poisar, Akurli, Kurar, Dindoshi, Aarey, Goregaon E (Interconnect Mumbai Metro-6: Pink Line), Jogeshwari E, Shankarwadi, and Gundavali (Earlier Andheri East, Interconnect Mumbai Metro 1 – Blue Line and Mumbai Metro: 7A – Red Line). Metro 7A is the southern extension of the operational Metro Line 7 from Andheri (East) to Dahisar (East) which is expected to be completed by 2026.

Its timings are 6am to 10.30 pm.
METRO-1
It is the elevated corridor connecting Versova, Andheri and Ghatkopar. It provides connectivity between eastern and western suburbs and the Western and Central Railway.
Stations: Versova, D. N. Nagar, Azad Nagar, Andheri, Western Express Highway, Chakala, Airport Road, Marol Naka, Sakinaka, Asalpha Road, Jagruti Nagar, Ghatkopar.

The 12.69-kilometre stretch between Aarey Colony and BKC is part of the 33.5-kilometre Colaba-Seepz-Aarey Metro line 3, which received the final clearance from the Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (CMRS) earlier this week.
Stations: BKC, Bandra Colony, Santacruz, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) T1, Sahar Road, CSMIA T 2, Marol Naka, Andheri, SEEPZ and Aarey Colony JVLR, which is the only station at grade.

Regular service of Mumbai Metro-3 runs daily from 6.30 am to 10:30 pm (Monday to Saturday) and on Sundays from 8.30 am to 10.30 pm.

Fares: Dahisar to Gundavli: Rs 30; WEH station to Marol Naka: Rs 20; Marol Naka to BKC: Rs 80
The Mumbai Metro app allows passengers to buy tickets, recharge smart cards, and check the schedule and fares of the trains. The app also offers other features, such as a route planner and real-time updates on train timings. Same goes for Mumbai Metro-3 app.
In case of Metro-3, online payment is not accepted at the counter, please carry cash. Also, as Metro-3 is underground, you may not be able to access the app smoothly once inside. Please get your ticket before you enter.
