A family was enjoying their time at a beach in Ukraine when they temporarily left their belongings unattended on loungers to grab lunch. Upon returning, they found they couldn't even approach their things—their area was swarmed by a cloud of bees that seemed to come out of nowhere.
Of all the places and loungers on the beach, the bees had chosen that specific one. To retrieve their belongings, the family had to enlist the help of a beekeeper who miraculously happened to be nearby. Footage of the man handling the bee swarm quickly went viral on TikTok, garnering over 50,000 likes. The video's creator, Anna Marchak, also shared the story of the incident.
"We went for lunch and came back to this... We really didn't understand why the swarm specifically chose our things," the woman admitted.
To handle the bizarre situation, the family called the State Emergency Service (SES) for assistance. However, it turned out there was a beekeeper among the beachgoers who volunteered to help recover their belongings. As it happened, the beekeeper was also an SES employee, who had to work even on his day off.
"We called the SES, but a beekeeper at the beach just gathered the swarm with his hands and saved our things. We're incredibly grateful," the story's heroine recounted.
The man bravely removed the bees and freed the family’s belongings from the invasion. But why had the bees swarmed their items?
In the comments, the woman shared with curious users the reason behind the bees' behavior. The beekeeper explained from a professional standpoint that the bee queen had settled on their belongings, prompting the swarm to follow her. However, the rescuer noted that, despite his experience, he had never seen bees behave this way: "They started making a hive right in the middle of the beach."
